Google review answers for restaurants

FoodyFocus drafts replies to your restaurant's Google reviews with AI, in your own voice and in the language each guest wrote in. You approve what gets published.

What it does

  • Reads the Google reviews of your restaurant's Google Business Profile listing.
  • Drafts a reply to each review with AI, matching your tone and answering in the guest's language.
  • Publishes replies on Google only after you approve them. In autopilot mode, replies to positive reviews can go out on their own, while sensitive reviews always wait for your approval. You can switch autopilot off at any time.

Which Google data we use, and why

When you connect your Google account you grant the permission business.manage (Google Business Profile). FoodyFocus uses it only to list your business locations so you can choose yours, to read the reviews of the listing you choose (rating, text, language, public author name and date) and the replies already posted, so we can draft replies, and to post the replies you approve.

We never use this data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. FoodyFocus's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How AI is used

Replies are written and reviewed with Anthropic's Claude models. They process the review text only to produce the reply, under a data processing agreement, and do not use it to train their models.

Your data and your control

  • Disconnect Google at any time from the Settings page of Google review answers. We revoke the access on Google's side and delete the stored review content.
  • You can also remove FoodyFocus's access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • Review content obtained from Google is kept for 30 days at most.
  • In Settings you can export your review answers data or delete all of it. Your FoodyFocus account and your other products are not affected.
